SwissVPN is a business unit of Monzoon Networks AG, a Swiss telecommunications company which has been in operation since over 5 years. SwissVPN is dedicated to offer you an encrypted VPN tunnel from your computer to a Swiss computer centre in Zurich and entering the Internet from there. This way your traffic will safely tunnel all wireless and wired networks using encrypted VPN and you’ll surf the Internet from Switzerland.

Ditto to the above reviews. Bandwidth from a USA location is fast enough for the purpose. 6 Swiss Francs seems a bargain.
Swiss VPN are a great provider. They came recommended to me from a friend who’s been with them for over a year. Having now signed up with them, there service does what it says, for a good price.
I have used this service for the Last few months and my connection has been up for dAys with out dropping once good speeds too
Just joined Swiss Vpn and I’m really happy with the service, it wouldn’t work with my router but I used the Open VPN program as reccomended by Swiss VPN and it works a treat. Just superb.
Very dissapointed that SwissVPN does not work with Zattoo.
Going to try another VPN for this purpose.
I would suggest you to think twice before you send your money to these guys.
I’ve subscribed for them in less than two hours from the time of writing this comment.
I was using another VPN provider and put my French email while signing up for the service (I love my email address ending in .fr).
I am living in Bulgaria and my VISA is registered in Bulgaria.
My first payment was rejected because I had insufficient money to pay for two months of VPN service. Well, I paid for one month.
In less than an hour I got disconnected and my user login information has been rejected. I mailed back SwissVPN customer support and they told me that my money had been refund because of « discrepancy between the information you have entered and your registered card details ».
I mailed them back with a copy of my VISA Electron and my EU ID card. In a few minutes I had another reply that it was a mistake and they flagged my payment because of « French mailaddress, purchase in Luxembourg, usage in Bulgaria, first purchase attempt denied, second with lower amount passed ».
Be aware while sending your money to these guys, as they will probably not trust you and flag your account if you subscribe using email address hosted in France, while being connected from VPN server based in Luxembourg.
There is no problem to connect to SwizzVPN but since I live in sweden the speed is very sluggish, I have 100/10Mbit (actuall speed when downloading is 70/10) when connected via VPN my speed is 6/3Mbit…
Used Swiss VPN for about 6 months now, never had ANY problems and maxes out my connection….need I say more?
Instant service, no contract, minimal set up. The bandwidth is also reliable. Great no frills concept.
Given the arcane data privacy laws in the UK and the US, and the way we are being closed in on by the enforcement of Orwellian intrusion to our private affairs, I have looked long and hard for a secure VPN solution. I’m not Bernie Madoff or Roman Polanski, but nor do I want the Inland Revenue or IRS insisting I divulge everything I possess, so that they can tax my family when I’m dust.
I tried “StrongVPN” and Happy, then Banana. Not only did they “throttle” connections, and have poor customer service, but as “HappyCustomer” says above, they have “privacy” credos subject the intrusive laws of where they are based, i.e. US and UK. They even say they’ll shut people down for trying to watch British TV from the US or vice-versa, as it is technically “downloading illegal content”! The thing that concerned me most was e.g. StrongVPN’s statement that they will comply with any requests from government agencies; this means no warrant required, just a request by phone from someone.
Having read the “Happycustomer” I tried SwissVPN. Their website is indeed void of the usual hyperbole and high impact marketing images – they simply say they will do the job for you, and that your data is protected.
I have tried it for several months now, from many locations, via many ISP’s and for many data sizes, so felt qualified enough to comment on it. SwissVPN works perfectly, and is as easy to set up as it is to set one’s alarm clock. They even let you test out a connection with them, (go to their faq page and it gives details). 100% reliable, 100% integrity, 100% recommended, great prices too.
I spent lots of time when choosing the right VPN provider and came across SwissVPN by accident really. The site is well laid out and doesnt have the usual sales pitch lines that are seen with the competition like unblock your connection from Kuwait or Belize etc and just sticks to the facts without makeing it sound like it should be used for that purpose.
SwissVPN may not be well known like Relakks et el but it does have a proven 5 year history and is part of a Swiss telecommunications provider called Monzoon Networks who are all above board, again unlike various VPN providers around at the moment who are just hireing out various space to sell to customers and not a proven company like these.
Also as the IPs are based in Switszerland you are protected by Switszerlands very strict prvacy laws which are more srict than the EUs such as Germany and the UK .. the UK is not a wise choice to use for a VPN as the gouvernment like to keep long logs of all access to the networks.
Switszerland only obides partially to the EU data retention laws and is more laid back than most and the nation is known for its strong privacy in the banking sector aswell.
Now the best thing is that they offer OpenVPN which is SSL and the most secure VPN you can use. Run a standard PPTP connection through that via the OpenVPN software with the server details from SwissVPN and you will be very well protected indeed and it costs just $5 for one month with $2 extra for the firewall incl.
For me SwissVPN offers everything at a great price and why pay more? this is a PROPER company, not some backstreet buisness makeing a quick killing from the sudden trend in VPNs and you know your data running through them is SAFE and will be taken care of with regards to Swiss data retention and data protection laws … can the same be said for all the competition who run traffic through the UK, USA, Germany etc? no as the UK and USA have very STRICT laws on data retention and your data is not safe like it could be.
SwissVPN offers a full refund option aswell and you can test the service for free albeit its limited to one page but enough to know if it works.
I would suggest you try it and read the part on setting up the OpenVPN method.
Support is also very good with fast pro response. Speed is quick and very reliable.
Give them a try .. they may not try and sell the service with fancy words about getting unblocked but what they do offer is HONEST service.
reliable and instant access after payment
