VPN on your Nokia phone or PDA!
If you just bought a new Nokia phone then you probably noticed it came with an IPSEC based vpn client software. That client provided by Nokia is completely useless for normal usage and requires a special Nokia approved server which is very complicated to setup. The only way to use VPN is through the new and only PPTP client on the market called SymVPN. This will work on most S60 (3rd edition) devices based on Symbian OS 3.1 like Nokia E-Series: E51, E60, E61, E61i, E63, E65, E66, E70, E71, E90 And N-series. You will need to buy the software ofcourse, install it on your phone and then enter the VPN account details you got from your provider. Currently SymVPN is the only way to use PPTP VPN on Nokia phones and has been tested with Banana VPN, Happy VPN, Liberty VPN, WiTopia, Hotspot and VPNAccounts.com.

Now, after months of searching, finally I can use VPN on my Nokia phone. Thank you guys!
SymVPN works just great on my phone. I have it purchased just 30 minutes after downloading trial version. Very simple configuration, I even did not read any documentation at all.
Thanks for sharing!
SymVPN works really well on my Nokia 5800 phone.
it works on my Nokia N97 too, was looking for this for months!
Very useful post, thanks

Yep, I am confirming it – SymVPN is working with WiTopia VPN.
Have tested it on both my phones, Nokia N95 and Nokia 5800.
Hooray! It is the first ever VPN solution that is easy to install and use.
Have tried before and without any luck:
1) Nokia Mobile VPN – complete disaster, shame on Nokia for producing that @#$%;
2) NCP VPN client – hard to configure, could be working solution, but it didn’t work for me.
From now on the SYMVPN all the way!
The best VPN for Nokia phones. Period.
thankyou fo sharing. 😉
