Overplay provides a service which can reroute your internet traffic via one of our high speed, reliable VPN servers – making it appear to websites which you visit as if you’re located in another geographical area. In effect you are changing your IP address for one of our US, UK, Irish, Canadian, or Swedish IP Addresses!
All this is transparent to you, you simply choose a location with our easy-to-install VPN software, open your browser as usual, and enjoy the previously unavailable content.

Absolutely atrocious customer service
if your life count dont use this service!
Been a customer of Overplay for around six years. Originally the service was ok, but recently speeds have dropped off and the service is unusable. I regularly achieve speeds fifteen times as fast with a competitor. Dreadful support and non-existent customer service. No refunds. AVOID!
Customer service sucks – I’ve also experienced how they just ignore you if you’re asking something they can’t be bothered to deal with. Avoid.
And waiting…
Cut off after a couple of days due to not receiving ID verification. Only ID was never requested. Overplay then decided it would take 24 hours to check ID… still waiting to get back on
Shocking customer service. The software didn’t work and the online chat person close the chat sessions before giving me any help whatsoever. Avoid this service like the plague
Absolutely atrocious customer service. For a week I contacted them everyday because I had problems accessing netflix and nbc olympics website. At first got emails every 24 hours asking questions and providing support, then after 4 replys it went 100% silent. I kept trying to contact them and no replies. Went to their website and used their online chat, and kept getting promised they would contact me and for a week, nothing. Not worth the aggravation. Seems when they can’t fix it, they just ignore you and keep your money… Stay away…
Using from Singapore on a 200 mbts fibernetwork.
however, it is impossible to stream any TV shows from USA, UK, Germany or Denmark. connection is a crawl. Waste of money!!
Have been using their VPN servers for about a year now. I mainly use them for watching tv, mainly the Swiss route: Z.., W… and T… All work fine as do most UK one’s. The price could be better. I might switch to Astrill as I hear good things about them as well and they are considerably cheaper.
I have to say they sound good but real world testing shows it to be a dog when in UK using USA connections :¬(
speeds are bursty – very fast then dog slow so streaming video from usa-uk is at best SD – forget any HF type :¬(
I was looking for an OpenVPN provider that had servers located in Canada. I had tried “BTGuard” big mistake, average P2P speed was 8-12KB/s and i’m on a 15MB bandwidth connection.Just signed up with Overplay.net and now I’m running full boar 550 to 950KB/s !!
It’s like using my own WiFi connection directly.
I can’t really comment on Support but for reliability and can tell you that my previous VPN provided was cutting off almost every 30mins.
I also find that they have an amazing selection of servers locations.
Price is in the lowest out there.
Cheers
Surprised there’s no reviews of OverPlay on here – they seem to be a relatively large provider.
They provide servers in 18 countries, with several countries having multiple servers listed. I can access them all within the subscription which is $9.95.
Unlike most other providers, they don’t simply provide the normal OpenVPN-GUI but rather a client called OverPlayVPN which provides a tidier and probably easier to grasp interface for connecting to the OpenVPN servers. Maybe a little simplistic for some people’s taste, but it works very well and the installation is incredibly pain-free.
The korean and Japanese servers were a bit slow for me, but all the others were great – hardly any slowdown at all and was able to watch ipayer in HD from Tenerife.
Overall very impressive with a *VERY* wide range of countries covered.
